This is what America looks like in Portland, Oregon. At least, this is what America looked like yesterday at the 4th of July BBQ I attended: great food (Connor, I forgive you for bringing Asian noodle salad to a party for America, only because it was so good!); festive red, white, and blue garb; and fireworks in the street. We even had a beautiful moment with everyone raising sparklers over a bonfire singing the Star Spangled Banner. My night ended up on a roof top with another group of friends, trying to catch glimpses of the city fireworks.
